Oh CeliaB, you did it again! This Spanish designer owns my heart for making bold and life-affirmative designs. Every one of her collections is a firework of vibrancy, fun, and careful craftsmanship.

CeliaB's newest collection "Latin Lover" is a collaboration with Argentinian artist and illustrator María Luque. The two women met during Celia's trip to Argentina, and the result of the encounter are beautiful prints exclusively for "Latin Lover."

This collection is an ode to Latin American culture and in particular the Andean region art. While Celia's designs have a strong Asian influence, the prints enhance them, so the two cultures build together a bridge between continents. The clothes come in CeliaB's habitual silhouettes, volumes, ruffles, and details, all expressing her Latin origins.

What I love most about this collection is the strong expression of playfulness, an important part of CeliaB's work. The commitment to sustainability of the label fits very well my philosophy and what I believe fashion should be nowadays. Whenever I wear Celia B I feel strong and powerful, just like a modern Amazon. So here I am, dreaming of jaguars, dancing Latinas and autumn in Argentina. CeliaB, thank you for fulfilling my need for more colours, that's just what the world needs!

Sometimes every girl should feel like a princess! Even if she knows that she is not the prettiest girl in the world and will never win a beauty contest, it can happen, sometimes just for a second. This outfit is one of those moments for me, and I don't even need a diamond crown to go with it.

I don't want to make you jealous, but look: I found my dream Prada shoes from SS12 at the vintage store Markentussi, and they were even my size (otherwise I might have considered playing Cinderella's evil step sister, so lucky me I didn't have to). As you might know, I am not the kind of girl you can impress with a car, but stilettos with a bullet-shaped tail light are my favourite means of transportation.

Because the hot heels are very 50s, I couldn't resist to combine them with a vintage style dress. This Tara Starlet is a true head turner. It feels very cheeky with the open back, but what got me first was the print: I am wearing my beloved idol Frida Kahlo right by my heart.

Frida has always been one of the strongest sources of inspiration for me. A woman full of strength, power, creativity, and uniqueness. She fought against all the odds life put in her path and in the end, even conquered death with turning herself into an immortal icon. Imagine this strong woman having a ride in a pink Cadillac, just as pink as my Prada shoes. Frida, you would rock the streets just as you rocked everything you did!

Metallic High Heels –  Neon Sign Necklace –  Pink Sunnies
Metallic Flamingo Bag – Love Me Tender Bag – Diamond Ring
Pleated Velvet Skirt –  Flower Necklace –  Red Platform Shoes –  Fake Fur Jacket

1.  Enjoy autumn: Although it's not my favourite season, I want to focus on the good things, munch a lot of chestnuts, wrap myself in fluffy things and hide from the cold at home with a lot of tea and scented candles while listening to records.

2. Declutter my wardrobe: It's time to let go and downsize! Earlier this year I read the book "The Lifechanging Magic of Decluttering" by Marie Kondo. I love the thought of having a flat full of only the things that cause a "spark of joy."

3. Less understatement, more self-confidence: I am the master of making myself small. But is this reasonable? I am not perfect just like everybody, and I feel it's time to be okay with this and focus more on what my skills and qualities instead of being worried about my faults.

4. Manage to have a tidy desk for more than a day. Seriously: My desk looks very blogger-cliche, a mess full of shoeboxes, makeup, accessories and event invitations. My goal is to have it Instagram ready – all the time.

5.  Call or write all my friends I've neglected during the last months and let them know that they are important in my life, even if I might not be there every day.

6. Shop less: I own far more than I need and I think it's essential that we all reflect on our habits of consumption because of our environment.

7. Take my darling to a unique location in London for his birthday. It should be posh, lovely and have fancy food. If you have any ideas, leave me a comment.

8. Visit the Björk Digital exhibition at the Somerset House: Cause this iconic woman is a big source of inspiration, I admire that she seems ahead of her time. Besides: This is gonna be my first virtual reality exhibition.

9. Start to think about Christmas: Cause it seems to be too soon every year, and it's always a stressful time to have everything from cookies to gift guide articles ready. This year I wanna finally make it and start early!

10. Relax: Sometimes I feel like one of those Indian gods with the many arms, not because I consider myself as divine, but life is so busy, and there is barely time to take a breath and just be. I believe it's important to slow down from time to time. A perfect day doesn't have to be glamorous but can involve to stay home with uncombed hair, wear no makeup and watch series only.

Kenzo is my brand of the moment. I can‘t wait for the Kenzo x H&M collection launching at the 3d of November (Hello invitation to preview at the showroom, I‘m coming, yay!) and their viral hit advertising spot by Spike Jonze for the fragrance Kenzo World made me think of Kenzo eyes for days. Just when I believed that their tiger designs are too repetitive, the eyes got me, and I couldn‘t resist to treat myself to this jumper.

I like the casual easiness and coolness of the look. It‘s a look perfect for city trips: Comfortable to wear but if you go for a cocktail spontaneously, nobody will accuse you of bad taste.

The eye is a powerful symbol, and while wearing my jumper, I have to think of the eye shaped talismans common in Turkey quite a lot. They are supposed to protect from the evil eye causing injury or misfortune. Let‘s see if Kenzo can do that as well!

The only thing left to do is to dance as wildly as Margarey Qualley in the Kenzo add and find a flower eye sculpture to float into…

For the first time ever, I went to a factory outlet, the Fashion Fish in Schoenenwerd. I imagined outlets to be sad places with a lot of jumble more for the label-addicted than for the real fashion lovers. What I found was far better than what I could have imagined and surprised me. But let's start from the beginning:

The Fashion Fish is very easy to reach from Zurich by train and offers premium labels such as Bally, Lacoste, Guess, Diesel, Nike, Timberland and much more.

I arrived with a lovely bunch of other bloggers, and we were warmly greeted by stylist Clifford Lilley and photographer Amanda Nicolic, who offered us helpful advice on how to look good in front of the camera. After drinks and a guided tour through the center, we got a 500 CHF voucher to shop a look.

It was quite a crazy experience, and I felt like a participant of the TV show Shopping Queen. Because the time was limited and I was keen to find something that I loved, I felt under pressure. After all, you don't get so much money to spend in one go every day. It was a lof of fun to see all bloggers shop, ask those likeminded but all very different people for their opinion and see what treasures they found.

But when I spotted the gorgeous pink Bally shoes, the first shoes I own from the luxury label, all doubts vanished, and I was inspired to style an elegant evening look. Shortly after I bought the shoes, I found the perfect coat and dress to go with them at Hallhuber. I love the simple elegance of the look and think the coat has a slight Asian touch, especially combined with my hair cut.

After a touch-up, it was time to show our purchases in the pictures taken by Amanda. Since she is such a cheerful person, I instantly felt very comfortable in front of her camera and the shooting was a fabulous end to an exciting day. Thank you so much for having us Fashion Fish, I can't wait to be back (Maybe one Bally item isn't enough in my life…).

Designer Louise O'Mahony was carried away by wanderlust and got inspired by Tibetian landscapes and wild dreams of far away worlds for her new collection.

What came to life is a unique fun collection for the bold and brave that turns every ordinary day into a festival day. All pieces are handmade in the UK, and the fabric prints are designed in L.O.M's Brighton studio.

I am dying to get my hands on anything from this collection. Since I heard about Louise and her work for the first time, I am a real fan and own pieces from her past collections. I love the moment of pleasant anticipation when a cute parcel arrives, and I have no idea what's inside. When I slowly open the box, remove the wrapping paper and discover a sweet surprise from far far away, that makes me happy. The Kawaii Box brings you this feeling every month with handpicked items from Japan and Korea. If you follow my blog for a while, you might know how fond I am of this box and that I think it's the perfect gift idea for your kawaii friends.

This is already my the third Kawaii box, and I can't wait for the next. The first thing I discovered is the Pokemon candy, and it disappeared in a few seconds (Oops). Since I love bunnies,  I am especially glad to receive the Rabi-Dango plush rabbit and the glittery bunny stickers.

As a regular client of the kawaii box you are very well equipped with cute pens and coin purses, two things a girl can never have too many. The I Love You purse from this box is already in use to make my life a little bit tidier.

There was a DIY candy set included as well, already my third one, and maybe it's finally time to try it because until now I was too lazy to figure out what to do with them (the instructions are in Japanese only).

Some of the little things like the Invisible Secret Pen Set or the Harajuku Hair Loops might find it's way to my godchild because as a godmother you need to have some little gifts ready all the time. Well, in general, it's always a good idea to bring joy and make your dearest friends and family smile.

Of course, this applies to my readers too and therefore I have something for you too: One of you can win next months Kawaii box. Just follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter below to participate and don't forget to smile when you receive a box with hearts. The giveaway is open worldwide, so you can all participate.

Good luck and stay kawaii!

This post is a goodbye to a label I am very fond of: Oh Tara Starlet, thank you for your flattering skirts and vintage inspired dresses. You cast your magic for eleven years, created dream dresses and turned women into beautiful retro queens. You had a mission, and you fought very brave as an independent label in a sea of cheap high street brands. You were bold and bright, but nevertheless, you had to give up your big dream in the end. Tara Starlet is not the first independent brand I see disappearing; it's something that happens every day and if we don't do something will continue to happen.

But what can we do? I must confess it's not much, but let me tell you one thing: Think wise where you shop, because it doesn't just influence the looks you wear but changes the fashion landscape. With your purchases, you are a stone in the avalanche that decides which brands stay and which disappear. Do you want everything as cheap as possible and need something new every week? Maybe it's time to think twice!

Do you wanna buy from people who follow their passion and do their very best to offer unique designs, excellent quality, and clothes produced under fair work conditions? Well, then buy from them and not from the ruthless ones!

During the years, I started to worry more and more about the effects of fast fashion on our world and although I sometimes can't resist buying from the shops providing it, I believe it's not the future. I don't wanna see any more piles of rotting clothes in the desert on telly; I don't wanna see factory workers treated risking their life and health for a few pennies in emerging countries. Some people say to refuse consumerism is the answer, I don't think this is possible and reasonable, but consciousness might be the key!

Tara Starlet, it was a very good time with you, I wish you all the best. Hopefully, you will come back one day. In the meanwhile, you live on in my wardrobe, and I'll wear your pieces with a lot of pride.

Art Inspires Fashion: Roses by John Rawlings

Art Inspires Fashion is back! Some of you missed this category of posts, and I know you were right because styling outfits taking inspiration from paintings and photographs is something I love to do as a former university of applied arts student.

Today's inspiration is the photography called "Roses" by John Rawlings taken in 1948. The American Rawlings was one of the most important photographers of Condé Nast from the 1930s through the 1960s and created numerous covers for the magazines Vogue and Glamour. His style of photography was very forward and influences many fashion photographers till today.

The picture "Roses" is part of the Vogue Archive collection of Lumas and shows an elegant lady wearing a stunning vermillion velvet hat with rose appliqués. I was instantly enchanted because the picture captures true beauty and prestige in a very sensual way.

My look includes the essential things of the artwork: Smooth and shiny materials,  delicate flower petals and gorgeous berry colours. While the appearance of the lady is uncompromisingly elegant, my style has a different edge and can be understood as a translation to modern times.  If necessary, the lady in my picture can run for the tube or carry a dozen shopping bags (after all she is an independent girl), but she will look just as beautiful as John Rawlings model.

Have a closer look at the picture and get it for your home here.

It's my birthday today, and this makes this post a special one. I am glad the look and the pictures turned out very well, and it's a good feeling to share it with you while I take the weekend off from blogging, something I rarely do. The scarf I am wearing could be counted as kind of a pre-birthday gift; my darling bought it for me in London when I was in serious need of something fluffy in my life.

Even if I love blogging, I am excited about my selfishness for taking a whole weekend just for myself instead of editing pictures and catching frostbite while shooting in the cold. Being a blogger doesn't only fill a huge part of my life, my friends and family are taking part of it as well. Some of them in an active way with helping me to organize shootings and connections, others in a more passive way with being patient with me and have some understanding if I am late for the family brunch because of a photo shooting. A big thank you to all of you at this point and sorry for talking about shoes and necklaces so much all the time.

Writing this a day before my birthday, I have no idea what I am doing today, I just know it involves a little journey, good food and spending time with my love. Have a beautiful Sunday too, and I hope you enjoy my pastel look!

It was love at first sight when I saw this coat from Kenzo x H&M showroom a while ago, and it was very hard to leave without it. I did something I rarely do anymore: I queued and queued and queued for it, without even the slightest blogger bonus. I ended up having a lot of fun with two quirky Indonesian ladies in the middle of the night, shared my excitement with a lot of other fashion addicts, and I feel like I truly earned wearing my shaggy tiger.

I got up at five o'clock in the morning and was in front of the shop shortly after six, everybody who knows me better can tell what a sacrifice this is for me: I am no morning person at all, and before ten you better don't talk to me about serious things. I know the whole Kenzo x H&M hype is already over, but there is a difference: Me and this coat, it's no hype, it's true love. I wouldn't have been tempted just by the big name, but I was by the wild designs and the bright colours.

Not the coldest winter can harm me when I wear this coat. Usually, I am a little bit reluctant to shoot pictures in winter, but hey: All I needed to change my mind was a proper coat. I can even go out with bare legs (sorry Mama I know you will call me and tell me I should wear something longer).

The only thing you can do when you wear one of House of Holland's provocative slogan T-shirts is to combine it with bare flesh for sure. My legs might never beat Agyness Deyn wearing one of those shirts when they first dropped, but who cares!

Just stop making me hard Molly Goddard!

Close your eyes for a second and imagine your city. Think of everything that belongs to the place from the gray streets full of black, red and blue cars to the flashy signs of shops, numerous people hurrying from A to B, passing yellow crosswalks and gray buildings under a light blue sky. Now think which colour you saw the least often!

Maybe orange, or purple? But wait, no: It was pink, right? Possibly there was a little girl with a pink unicorn balloon or maybe you even imagined me entering a beauty store, but I bet there was little or even no pink in your imaginative city. Pink, the colour we connect with feminity, the innocence of childhood and unconditional love is almost not present in the daily life of most people. Isn't that a quite sad thought?

At least when you live in Geneva, this might not be true anymore: Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist designed a train that is pink from the outside and inside. 250 kg of colour were required to realize the Monochrome Rose project. The tram is part of the project art&tram, which aims to make art part of urban life. Pipilotti Rist says that the tram has "emerged from taking an exquisite bath in a sea of colour, with the drops of pigment still dripping over the whole of its body."

The inauguration of the tram was about two weeks ago, and I was very honoured to be part of it. I have always loved the art of Pipilotti Rist with its winking humour, strong sensuality, uncompromising boldness and exuberant feminity.

I remembered how I encountered her work for the first time in my first year at art school. I admired the classical paintings in a museum for their virtuosity and craftmanship, but somehow something was missing that depressed me: Colours and quirkiness. But then I discovered a quite tiny screen in a corner playing video art: "I'm not the girl who misses much" sang a hypnotical, female Mickey Mouse voice through the speakers. I was fascinated and drawn to it like the moth to the light; I thought: No, I indeed don't miss much, not anymore, while I was overwhelmed by a wave of colour coming into my life through Pipilotti's work. This installation was one brick stone in a wall of events convincing me of the necessity of a life in bright, vivid colours. Yes to embracing rainbows, yes to pink!

Finally, so many years later I finally encountered the woman behind the art that inspired me since then and I loved the energy radiating from her and that she obviously doesn't take herself too serious. Pipilotti kissed my hand and went to her knees in fron of me, I don't know how I survived this moment without fainting...

Being in the all pink tram was like a dream for me, and I am convinced Barbarella would trade her spaceship for Pipilotti's tram. It's like a break from your usual life when you enter the pink, playful world, a place which is cheerful, filled with positive emotions and where pink is the new black. You could see it as the fearless grown up version of being inside the whale in the story of Pinocchio.

When the doors after a ride open and you have to disembark, you will regret leaving this pink paradise and secretly wish on your next journey the pink beauty might pick you up once again. At least I have a lot of souvenirs from this day, because all Swiss newspapers printed the picture of Pipiotti and me in the tram to remember the best pink day of 2016.

The first look of the year and I think It's a good start. Oh god, I nearly got frozen while doing the pictures but I just had to show you this fabulous cape by maxjenny!.

Recently I read the expression of the "post-human silhouette" in a book about avant-garde fashion, and since then I am obsessed with musing about it and its meaning. I always loved to play with silhouettes, and I think there is far more to it than the classic shape considered as beautiful, break boundaries, become something else than 90-60-90 or any other industry-made standard, something totally unexpected and new, day after day, this is what I'm after.

I felt like a constantly shapeshifting drop of colour in a world of brutalist architecture, doing this shoot and wanna see it as a symbol for the new year: 2017 you better be a year of (good) change! Don't mistake me; I don't want to become somebody else, but I wanna find more facets of myself and push the boundaries of what defines myself and my fashion taste.

During the holidays I looked at old pictures of me and my boyfriend asked how I feel about the way I evolved. I said I feel more myself than ten years ago. So let's go further this road and not get older, but like a piece of art in progress just more complete!
